MACHINE FOR RAKING SLUDGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge raking machine in which scum can be discharged from the inside of a well to the outside efficiently. SOLUTION: Settled sludge is recovered by fitting rakes 36 onto a rotary shaft 30 erecting in a settling tank 22 through rake arms 34 and rotating the rakes 36. At the same time, raw water 38 is introduced from a raw water introducing port 46 to the inside of the well 40 and a gyrating flow is generated in the well 40 by blades 48 connected to the shaft 30. As a result, the scrum 54 floating in the well 40 moves outside by centrifugal force so that the scum 54 can be made to move to the outside of the well 40 through a slit 52 efficiently.
