摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the luminosity of an image well, eliminating a smear phenomenon and a flicker feeling generated in the case of adopting an optical variable power mechanism. SOLUTION: This electronic endoscope device is provided with the optical variable power mechanism using a movable lens 11: a control circuit for controlling the light quantity of a light source by a diaphragm member 35; and a TG/electronic shutter control circuit 23 for variably setting the electric charge storage time of a CCD 12 as electric shutter speed. Normally, the output light quantity of the light source is fixed into a fully open position to control the electronic shutter speed, but when the movable lens 11 is driven close to the near end, it is so controlled to fix the electronic shutter speed to 1/400 sec, for instance, to variably set the output light quantity of the light source. When an observation distance is driven to the near side from the far end and the electronic shutter speed exceeds the specified high speed value, fixing of the electronic shutter speed and the variable control of the output light quantity of the light source may be executed.
