摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the layer thickness of a paste layer than can be printed at one time, on the occasion when the rib of a rib grid of a fluorescent display tube is to be formed by multilayer printing. SOLUTION: The screen plate for multilayer printing has a projecting part 31 for preventing an overlap in an opening part 4 (portion wherein no emulsion is present) formed by applying an emulsion 3 to meshes 2 knitted of metal thin wires 21 and 22 of stainless steel or the like and by cutting the emulsion 3 through in the shape of a printing pattern. On the occasion when the second paste hardening layer S2 is printed on the first paste hardening layer S1 by using this screen plate, the plate is set on the paste hardening layer S1 of a glass substrate 1, as shown in Fig. 3 (a), and paste 6 is rubbed into the opening part 4 by a squeegee 5, so as to print the second paste layer S2. Since the paste hardening layer S1 collides with the projecting part 31 in the opening part 4 and can not reach the meshes 2 on the occasion, the layer thickness of the paste layer S2 increases to such an extent as to correspond substantially to the thickness H2 of the emulsion.
