PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a package simply by using a packaging material in which a reinforcing layer is formed in a base material of a thermoplastic resin. SOLUTION: In the packaging material 10, a split fiber nonwoven fabric 12 in which two uniaxially oriented netted films 13 are laminated longitudinally and transversely is laminated on the back of a gas-permeable base material. The film 13 is a multi-layer film in which layers of the second thermoplastic resin whose melting point is lower than that of the first thermoplastic resin are laminated on both sides of a layer of the first thermoplastic resin. The package is produced by a process in which an object to be packaged is enclosed by the packaging material 10 with the nonwoven fabric 12 arranged inside, the parts of the nonwoven fabric 12 are made to face each other in the open part of the packaging material 10 enclosing the object to lay the parts of the packaging material 10 to overlap each other, and the overlapped parts of the packaging material 10 are heat-sealed. |
