PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable calligraphy tool container which enables even a pupil to easily put in/out a Japanese calligraphy paper sheet without deforming. SOLUTION: This portable calligraphy tool container is equipped with an almost square bag 1 to contain calligraphy tools 11, a handle 2 for carrying, and a flat cover sheet 3 containing paper sheets 4, therein and wound around the bag 1. One side edge 3c of the cover sheet 3 is engaged with a side lower part 1a of the bag 1, the intermediate part of the cover sheet 3 is wound around the upper side of the bag 1, and the other side edge 3d of the cover sheet 3 is engaged with a side lower part 1b of the bag 1. The handle 2 is equipped on the outer face in an intermediate part of the cover sheet 3. The bag 1 is formed in a flat erecting square. An opening part with a fastener is equipped above the bag 1. An engaging member 12 to detachably engage the opening part with the cover sheet 3 is equipped on the side upper part of the bag 1.
