PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front ground contact structure for a vegetable harvester, for supporting a pretreatment unit correspondingly to the undulation of a field or ridges. SOLUTION: This front ground contact structure for a vegetable harvester having such a construction that a pretreatment frame slantly mounted on a machine body so as to be lower toward the front and higher toward the rear is mounted with a pretreatment unit for pulling out vegetables cultivated in a field through acting thereon and conveying them rearward, is characterized by that the pretreatment frame is mounted with a ground contact element coming into contact with the ground variably in its left and right angles.
