SUBSTANCE: composite material consists of metal matrix made from metal selected from group containing aluminum, magnesium, zinc or tin and alloys on their base and reinforcing mineral fibrous material. Used as reinforcing mineral fibrous material is cloth with one-sided or two-sided puncture by chopped roving. Cloth and roving are made from mineral fiber of the following composition, mas.%: SiO247, 47-56; CaO, 5.5-12; Al2O3, 12-17; MgO, 4.4-9.0; Fe2O3+FeO, 10-14; TiO2, 1-2; admixtures, the balance. Cloth with one-sided or two-sided puncture by roving may be located in volume of matrix or on its surface. Roving may have U-shaped or linear form.
