mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities; belt conveyors. SUBSTANCE: alignment control device has control suspension which supports at least one control roller for conveyor belt. Control suspension is connected for rotation with first support whose axis is square to conveyor belt. Control yoke is arranged at definite distance from first support being connected through first rotary joint in direction of belt travel with lever extending along conveyor belt. Lever is connected with second support at a definite distance in direction of belt travel from first rotary joint. Axis of second support is square to conveyor belt. Lever is connected at a definite distance from second support through second rotary joint in direction of belt travel with guide suspension against which guide rollers thrust. Rollers are arranged to tightly fit each of belt outer sides to response to side displacements of conveyor belt. Guide suspension is connected through third rotary joint with parallel tie-rod laid in parallel with lever to third support whose axis is square to conveyor belt. Ratio of distance "b" between first rotary joint and second support and distance "c" between second support and second rotary joint should be from 1:2 to 1:5, preferably from 1: 2.5 to 1:3.5. Most preferable ratio is 1:3. First, second and third supports are made for adjustment in transverse direction relative to longitudinal axis of conveyor belt and are connected with conveyor by means of telescopic tubes for transverse adjustment of neutral position of conveyor belt. Method of material loading onto conveyor belt by means of said conveyor belt control device is laid in description of invention. EFFECT: high reliability in operation. 7 cl, 6 dwg
