PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable safe and efficient operation by providing expansion arms provided on both the end sides of a back plate, a side protection plate, and a protect plate. SOLUTION: The coated optical fiber protector 1 protects a coated optical fiber storage sheet which stores an in-use coated optical fiber and a stripped optical fiber so that they are insulated from each other. In concrete, the long sides of a quadrangle surrounding the coated optical fiber storage sheet consists of the back plate 17 and protection plate 11, and while one-end sides of the short sides of the quadrangle are fixed to both the flanks of the back plate 17, the other-end sides support the protection plate 11 so that it can be opened and closed; and the side protection plate 13 which extends along the length of the protection plate 11 is provided to protect the stripped coated optical fiber reaching the coated optical fiber storage sheet from nearby the coated optical fiber stripping part of a cable. The short sides are freely extended and contracted by the extension arms 14, and adjusted to the stacking thickness of coated optical fiber storage sheets. Thus, the coated optical fibers of the optical fiber cable can be protected. |
