SUBSTANCE: dust collecting apparatus has hollow cylindrical housing of cyclone-type catcher with open upper end, through which air and contaminants are sucked into inside, and dust removal opening arranged in the vicinity of lower end of cyclone-type catcher housing. Dust collector is formed integral with cyclone-type catcher housing and adapted for collecting contaminants discharged from cyclone-type catcher housing through dust removal opening. Base member covers lower end of cyclone-type dust catcher and dust collector. Cover is detachably connected to upper end of cyclone-type catcher housing and dust collector. Cover has air admission opening for directing outside air and contaminants into cyclone-type catcher housing and air exit opening for discharging clean air from cyclone-type catcher housing. Apparatus is further equipped with device for preventing contaminants from back flow by directing contaminants, which had been removed from cyclone-type catcher housing, into dust collector, and for preventing contaminants collected in dust collector from flowing back into cyclone-type catcher housing. Mentioned device is made in the form of guiding member arranged in the vicinity of contaminant removal opening and oriented to dust collector. EFFECT: simplified construction and manufacture, convenient operation by retaining required number of functional members of dust collecting apparatus and convenient maintenance. 6 cl, 3 dwg
