A surgical device optionally has robot arm, laser unit and electric cauterization unit or operation table. Interface has input channel connected to input unit and a number of output units connected to surgical devices. The interface has selector input channel receiving input commands for connecting the input channel to one of the output channels. The selector channel is connected to speech interface unit to enable surgeon to select one of the surgical devices by giving a voice command.
