<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet communication apparatus that can surely detect memory leakage in a short time so as to release a leaked memory area. SOLUTION: A destination request state display bit and a confirmation request state display bit are provided in a link management memory 13 in a line interface card 1 and a destination retrieval card 2 is provided with a destination retrieval state display memory 23 that has a similar address space to that of the link management memory 13. Through the configuration above, two message types of confirmation request messages (CR) is defined and the destination retrieval card 2 confirms as to whether or not destination retrieval is made, and thus the memory leak in the line interface card 1 can surely be judged in a short time and the leaked memory area is released.</p> |
