PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide personal identification system/method by fingerprint, which is provided with a clear and flexible user interface. SOLUTION: A user ID specifying part 3 collates (collation of one to N) fingerprint data which a fingerprint input part 1 inputs with fingerprint data registered in a fingerprint feature information data base 2 and specifies user ID. A password specification part 4 obtains a finger number list corresponding to user ID specified by the user ID specification part 3 from the fingerprint feature information data base 2, selects a finger number at random from the obtained finger number list, inputs fingerprint data on a finger corresponding to the selected finger number from the fingerprint input part 1, collates (collation of one to one) fingerprint data of the inputted selected finger with fingerprint data of the selected finger which is registered in the fingerprint feature information data base 2 and corresponds to specified user ID, specifies a password and sends specified user ID and the password to an application system 7. |
