PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic register system which is free from degrading of a recognition ratio and damaging of the design of merchandise such as a package paper due to the influence of external light and is capable of adjusting the merchandise without degrading the recognition ratio in spite of the occurrence of wrinkles or code deformation in the case of packaging the merchandise. SOLUTION: The system is provided with the packaging paper 1 on which at least information on the merchandise is printed as invisible information 4, an illumination means for illuminating a picture taking area with a prescribed wavelength light, a picture taking means for taking the picture of the prescribed wavelength light concerning the picture taking area illuminated by the illumination means, and a control part 4 for illuminating packaged merchandise 3 obtained by packaging the merchandise with the paper 1 within the picture taking area with the illumination means, taking the picture of the picture taking area by the picture taking means and segmenting the information 4 from the obtained picture to recognize the kind of the merchandise. |
