PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic material, whose relative temperature coefficient of an initial permeability is negative and is superior in stress-resistant properties, and to provide an inductor. SOLUTION: Magnetic material includes 46.0 to 51.0 mol.% Fe2O3, 0.5 to 15.0 mol.% CuO, and the residual mol.% NiO as main components and 4.0 to 10.0 pts.wt. bismuth oxide in terms of Bi2O3, 1.0 to 5.0 pts.wt. magnesium in terms of MgO, 2.0 to 8.0 pts.wt. silicon oxide in terms of SiO2, and 0.2 to 0.5 pts.wt. cobalt oxide in terms of Co as additives against 100 pts.wt. main components. An inductor comprises a core formed of this magnetic material and is covered with a molding resin. |
