PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buffer which can ensure high action stability by suppressing generation of torsion and bending moment according to an extending/contracting motion of a coil spring. SOLUTION: In this buffer 1 constituted by fitting slidably in a cylinder 2 a piston 4 mounted in one end of a piston rod 3 and mounting a coil spring 24 contracted between spring receivers 22, 23 respectively mounted in the other end part extended to outside the cylinder 2 of the piston rod 3 and the external periphery of the cylinder 2, the spring receiver 23 is made a spherical bearing structure. In this invention, by receiving one end of the coil spring 24 by the spring receiver 23 of spherical bearing structure, repulsive force of the coil spring 24 acts in only an axial line direction of the piston rod 3 and the cylinder 2 by automatic aligning action of the spring receiver 23, so as to suppress generation of torsion and bending moment, and by smoothly sliding the piston 4 with no resistance in the cylinder 2, high action stability is ensured in the concerned buffer 1. |
