PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorder and a digital data recording method capable of recording digital music data on recording media such as CD-R, CD-RW or silicon audio by the easy and safe method. SOLUTION: The whole digital music data supplied from DE-R(W) block 110, MD block 120, silicon memory block 130 or multi-CD block 21 are temporarily recorded by transferring them to a data recorder block 170 of large capacity, and there temporarily recorded data are outputted directly to the outside through an analog input/output selection SW 140 or recorded on an MD which is loaded into the MD block 120 or the silicon memory block 130 under the recording mode changeable as occasion demands, or on the silicon memory.
