PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with carrying of a reproducing device for viewing multimedia data. SOLUTION: Using a personal terminal 20 and the like, a user accumulates his/her own multimedia data in an information accumulating device 30 belonging to an information providing service business enterprise. Then, the user uses a personal identifying/controlling device 10 for sending information identifying an individual to the information accumulating device 30 via a network 100 from the personal terminal 20 or a shared terminal 21 in another place. The information accumulating device 30 transmits the list of the multimedia data accumulated by the user to the terminals 20 and 21 according to the received personal information, and the terminals 20 and 21 display the contents of the received data. The user can perform such controls as for selection of the multimedia data desired for viewing from the displayed list by means of the personal identifying/controlling device 10 and taking out the optional multimedia data from the information accumulating device 30 via the network 100 by means of the terminals 20 and 21 for viewing them.
