PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a reliability by eliminating an unnecessary repairing, maintenance and inspection and eliminating the waste of an unnecessary cost and a waste of time. SOLUTION: In the accidental fire detection control device, when a fuel level detected by a fuel level detection means is less than a fuel level set value previously set, an air/fuel ratio feedback control is carried out by an air/fuel ratio feedback control means and misfire ratio calculated by misfire ratio calculation means is not less than a misfire ratio set value previously set, the air/fuel ratio feedback control by the air/fuel ratio feedback control means is stopped for a constant time. In the case where misfire is detected by misfire detection means during stopping the air/fuel ratio feedback control, it is judged by a judgment means that a fuel lack of a fuel tank causes the misfire.
