PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent blow-up of an internal combustion engine rotation when the internal combustion engine is rotated by an electric motor or the like in succession to a stop of the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: An engine starts rotating by a motor generator (M/G) (S374) not immediately after a fuel supply stop by an engine automatic stop but after the fuel supply stop (YES in S330) and after a determination that combustion of all the fuel existing in a cylinder of the engine is completed is performed (YES in S370). Thus, while avoiding a period in which a rotation torque is generated at the engine side due to combustion of the fuel, the engine rotation is started by the M/G after the period. Accordingly, the rotation torque by an explosion and the rotation torque generated by the M/G are not overlapped, and the blow-up of the engine speed is prevented.
