PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine system capable of making power performance of a diesel engine compatible with exhaust emission control performance most suitably and overcoming shortage of torque in running on a steep ascent. SOLUTION: Light oil, water and emulsion respectively supplied from a light oil tank 4, a water tank 5 and an emulsion cartridge 6 are adjusted in water proportion by control valves 11 to 13 to make emulsion fuel, which is supplied to a combustion chamber 41. The water proportion is generally set to a basic water proportion according to a signal of an accelerator opening 39 (step S3). When a difference between the target acceleration corresponding to the accelerator pedal opening and the actual acceleration becomes above a designated value (step S7), the basic water proportion is corrected to decrease the water proportion (step S8). |
