PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air preheater having a simplified construction wherein uneven temperature distribution is not caused in a direction perpendicular to the flow of waste gas flowing in a waste gas duct. SOLUTION: An air duct 4 is disposed vertically on opposite sides of a waste gas duct 6 so as to hold the waste gas duct 6, and an air preheater 2 is inserted between the air duct 4 and the waste gas duct 6. A pair of cylindrical air preheater elements 21 which are rotated in the same direction having rotation axes mutually parallel and extending in the direction of the flow of the waste gas are disposed in the air duct 4 and the waste gas duct 6 respectively such that parts thereof are exposed. |
