The seat (1) consists of a cushion (3) and back (2), with a pivot handle (21) mounted on one side (22) of the seat back. The handle is designed to enable the seat back to tip on to the cushion. A turning plate (4) is fixed below the cushion and a pivot lever (44) is fitted to provide a rotation of the cushion around the vertical axis (P), with the seat back in the raised position. A cable link (53) is fitted to operate the pivot lever immediately after the pivot handle to obtain a rotation of the cushion after tipping the back on to the cushion.
