PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk player which selects a single side, the other side, or both sides for reproduction for every optical disk picked up from optical disk housing part. SOLUTION: An optical disk whose playback is requested in designated out of optical disks held in a rotary stocker part 52. Reproduction side designation information on the repeated playback of both signal-recorded sides, one signal-recorded side, or the other signal recorded side is specified from an input part 74 for each of the optical disk designated for playback. Specified reproduction side designation information corresponding to each information of the optical disk designated for played back is stored into a memory 72 under control of a storing control section 70-3. By referring to reproduction designation information stored in the memory 72 for the optical disk designated for playback according to predetermined reproduction sequence, the signal recorded on the signal-recorded surface based on reproduction designation information is reproduced under control of the reproduction control section 70-4 for the optical disk whose playback is requested for both signal-recorded surfaces. For the optical disk whose playback is requested for the single signal-recorded surface, the signal recorded on the signal-recorded surface is reproduced.
