PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of easily adjusting contrast on the liquid crystal display screen without complicating the power source circuit construction. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device displays a wide variety of information such as characters or images with a common driver driving voltage Vcom and a segment driver driving voltage Vseg outputted from a power source generating part 4. A pulse width adjustment circuit 10, a segment driver 2 and a common driver 3 to vary the pulse width of the voltage waveform for liquid crystal driving at the common driver driving voltage Vcom and the segment driver driving voltage Vseg outputted from the power source generating part 4 are provided on the liquid crystal display device.
