PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure roller which can form high quality images without image failure such as hot offset and fixing failure, which assists a quick-start process, and which is extremely excellent without decrease in the durability and to be used for a fixing device. SOLUTION: An addition type silicon rubber having the hardness of 0 to 8 degrees and 0.98 to 1.10 specific gravity is used for an elastic layer which is coated around the core metal.
