摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chlorine sensor that can detect chlorine selectively and at the same time can operate stably even if various kinds of miscellaneous gases coexist. SOLUTION: The chlorine sensor 1 comprises a detection electrode 2, a cation conduction solid electrolyte 3 arranged under the detection electrode 2, an ion oxide conduction solid electrolyte 4 arranged under the cation conduction solid electrolyte 3, and a reference electrode 5. In the chlorine 1, the cation conduction solid electrolyte 3. uses at least one type of cation selected from a group comprising an aluminum ion and a rate-earth ion as a conduction seed. Also, in the chlorine sensor 1, the detection electrode 2 is made of oxychloride. The chlorine sensor 1 can selectively select chlorine, is compact and is not limited by an installation location, stably operates even if various kinds of miscellaneous gases such as an exhaust gas coexist, and is suited for practicality.
