PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron beam trajectory correcting method and device with an arithmetic unit capable of simply and appropriately calculating an exciting current quantity without restricted by the number of steering electromagnets and beam position monitors. SOLUTION: An electron storage ring 100 having a plurality of deflecting electromagnets 90A and 90B and storing the electrons (including positrons) in a prescribed closed trajectory at a prescribed energy is provided with the m steering electromagnets 60A-60H vertically and horizontally deflecting the electron beams, a steering electromagnetic power supply 114 feeding excitation currents to the respective steering electromagnets 60A-60H, the n beam position monitors 92A-92D detecting the positions of the electron beams, and the arithmetic unit 20 calculating the excitation currents of the respective steering electromagnets 60A-60H for deflecting the angles of the electron beam so as to pass through the prescribed trajectory, by a singular value decomposition method. In this case, if the arithmetic unit 20 calculates the exiting currents of the respective steering electromagnets 60A-60H by ignoring singular values smaller than the specific smaller value, a further appropriate excitation current quantity can be found.
