PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel participatory polylogue system which is usable as a support system for foreign language learning or the like. SOLUTION: The participatory polylogue system 100 participated by two creatures 10a and 10b and a human 1 is constituted. The creatures 10a and 10b judge whether the creatures make commitment to the utterance of others including the human 1 or not and when the creatures make commitment, the creatures direct addresses to the others, recognize themselves as listeners and determine the others as speakers. The utterance is thereafter repeated between the speakers and the listeners. When the commitment is continued, the utterance is further repeated and conversations are catenated. Accordingly, even if the human does not participate in the conversations, the action is progressed and therefore the human can behave not only as the speaker or listener but as an onlooker as well. The on-going learning of a learner is expected if this system is utilized for, for example, a foreign language learning support system.
