PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geared motor capable of preventing abnormal noise caused by the sliding contact between a worm wheel and a rotation transmitting member when an output shaft is locked and capable of reducing the weight. SOLUTION: In the geared motor, the worm wheel 24 is rotated by a prescribed quantity by preventing the rotation of a plate part 38 and deforming a cushion rubber 34 when the output shaft 36 is locked. At the time, as the inner surface of a cylindrical part 23A of the worn wheel 24 is in line contact with a sliding contact projection 38E formed on the outer surface of the plate part 38, generation of abnormal noise caused by the sliding contact (relative rotation) between the worm wheel 24 and the plate part 38, both of which are made of resin with similar hardness, can be prevented. Further, as the worm wheel 24 and the plate part 38 are both resinous, the weight of the geared motor 10 can be reduced.
