The extendable barrier running on castors (11) is composed of identical anti-corrosion light alloy pivoting modular elements (1). Each element comprises two vertical X-shaped branches (14,15) which pivot at their centers and at their ends on the following element. The end modular elements (1A,5) are each provided with lockable fixings (3,7,8).
