PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that can flexibly cope with a correction caused frequently and automatically generate an optimum layout with a simple operation. SOLUTION: An automatic layout system 8 is provided with article data 14 storing objects and attribute information. A group area decision means 21 groups the objects on the basis of the attribute information and decides group areas in response to an area ratio depending on number of the objects included in each group. An item area decision means 22 divides the group areas by number of the objects to decide an item area. Furthermore, an object layout means 23 lays out the objects in the item area.
