PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic part mounting method which prevents degradation in mounting position accuracy caused by an auto-rotation mechanism of a transportation head. SOLUTION: An electronic part P is picked up by a transportation head 5 attached to a rotary head 4 which index-rotates and is mounted on a substrate. The rotational direction at the end of autorotation is always set to the same direction (counter-clockwise) for both the autorotation of the transportation head 5 which moves a sucking nozzle 5a holding the electronic part P to be imaged, at a part identifying station 8 to an imaging position, and the autorotation of the transportation head 5 which aligns the electronic part P held by the sucking nozzle 5a at a mounting station 9 with a mounting angle. Thus, the effect of mechanical 'play' on a rotational transmission is excluded for assured mounting position accuracy. |
