PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved digital image processing method for automatically adjusting the color balance of image data. SOLUTION: The method for processing digital color image having a pixel or a plurality of color channels is provided with a step for generating a reference image from the digital color image, a step for regressing the color channel of the digital color image to the reference image and obtaining a plurality of regressive factors on the respective color channels and a step for generating the processed digital color image by applying the regressive factors to the individual channels of the digital color image for the respective pixels. |
