PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS OF VIDEO DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an extension method and an extension apparatus having a function of decoding and/or extending different input coded signals. SOLUTION: A multiplex standard video decoder is connected by two-wiring interface and has a plurality of processing stages 36 as a pipeline processing system. A control token and a data token are send through the two-wiring interfaces 31 and 42 to transmit both the control and the data in a token format. A token decoding circuit 33 is put at the given stage so that a prescribed token is recognized as a control token intrinsic to the given stage and the not- recognized control token is fed along the pipeline. A re-construction processing circuit is put at a selected stage and answers the recognized control token to reconstruct such a stage and treat the already recognized data token.
