SOLUTION: The device comprises a road information acquisition processing means 90 for acquiring road information, a driving environment recognition processing means 91 for recognizing the driving environment based on the road information, a recommended gear ratio calculation processing means 92 for calculating the recommended gear ratio based on the driving environment information, an optimal gear ratio calculation processing means 93 for calculating the optimal gear ratio based on the recommended gear ratio, and a gear-shift control processing means 96 for executing the gear-shift control. The optimal gear ratio calculation processing means 93 comprises a recovery condition selection processing means 94 for selecting a condition for return to change the driving environment mode to the normal driving mode, and a return control processing means 95 for calculating the optimal gear ratio when the condition for return is fulfilled.
