PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical cell which has scarcely any flared section at a periphery of a cylindrical polar plate group, eliminates a damage risk of a cylindrical polar plate group or a battery case in assembly, is easy to manufacture, and is small and of high output. SOLUTION: In a cylindrical cell containing a cylindrical polar plate group with band-shaped positive electrode plates and negative electrode plates wound around through separators, a winding end part of the band-shaped polar plates is made thinner gradually or consecutively towards an inner side connected to the cylindrical polar plate group, and also a place of a winding end of the positive polar board is made shifted from that of the negative polar board.
