PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current control element wherein its cost and its consumption power are reduced and its miniaturization and its large-power output are made possible. SOLUTION: Each of actuators 1a, 1b has each fastening portion, each vibrating portion supported to vibrate on each fastening portion, and each operating portion. Each operating portion has first and second electrodes formed respectively on both surfaces or formed on the single surface of each of deformable layers 10a, 10b which is supported by each vibrating portion. Each of the actuators 1a, 1b performs its displacement operation by controlling variably the potential of each second electrode while holding each first electrode at each desired offset potential. Each of cathodes 2a, 2b for emitting electrons is formed in the upper portion of each of the actuators 1a, 1b. By the displacement operation of each actuator which is obtained by making variable the potential difference between the potential of each second electrode and each offset potential, the relative position of each actuator to each plate is so made variable as to control the current derived from each plate. Also, by each offset potential, the offset position of each cathode is so regulated as to adjust the control range of the current value derived from each plate.
