PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable universal type line test device that can easily test lines even when many numbers of the lines of test objects exist, and can conduct the test in a short time. SOLUTION: The universal type line test device 1 is provided with test circuits that conduct an insulation resistance test and a static capacitance test between a couple of core wires and between each core wire and ground, and a cross-contact test between each core wire and other wire without the need for changing the connection between a couple of core wires of a test object line and a ground wire.
