PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve the abnormality of the distance feeling of an image by a wide-angle camera in a vehicle peripheral situation display device. SOLUTION: The position of the pixel of an area lower than a boundary is brought close to a reference point in accordance with a distance from the boundary line on an image-picked up image. Namely, the distance from the reference point is converted into an f(d)-fold position being the function of the distance (d) from the boundary on a segment connecting the reference point and the respective pixels. Here, f(d) is the function of the distance (d) from the boundary, is defined by d>=0 and satisfies f(d1)<=f(d2) and f(d1)d1>f(d2)d2 if f(0)=1 and d1>d2. |
