PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light receiving member excellent in characteristic such as electrostatic chargeability and sensitivity even when processing speed is high, and an electrophotographic device using the same. SOLUTION: This light receiving member is provided with a light receiving layer 102 provided with a photoconductor layer 103 consisting of a non- monocrystal material where silicon atoms are contained as base substance and hydrogen atoms and/or halogen atoms are contained on a conductive supporting body 101, and the layer 103 consists of a 1st layer area 111 where charge is transported and a 2nd layer area 112 where charge is generated. The 2nd layer area 112 consists of a 2A-th layer area 113 and a 2B-th layer area 114, and an optical band gap is made larger in the area 114 than in the area 113. The area 114 is a layer area where pre-exposure is absorbed at a desired rate, and the area 112 is a layer area where image exposure with longer wavelength than wavelength in the pre-exposure is absorbed at a desired rate. |
