PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bypass network system that causes no system-down even on the occurrence of a fault on a network interconnecting a center and branches. SOLUTION: The bypass backup system consisting of host side routers whose number is the same as that of host computers, LANs whose number is equal to the number of the host side routers, network side routers and backup routers whose number is more than number of the LANs, a WAN connected to the network side routers, a backup network connected to the backup routers, and star type networks each provided with branches whose number is more than that of the network side routers, continues communication by bypassing a fault location on the occurrence of the fault on a communication path during 2-way communication between the host computers and the branches.
