PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management system capable of easily grasping files used last time by a user on a file management system diagram. SOLUTION: The file management system diagrams showing hierarchical relationships between folders and files are displayed on display devices of computer terminals 10a, 10b, 10c, etc. A management computer 20 records a history relevant to operations of a file selected on the file management system diagram. When the computer terminals 10a, 10b, 10c, etc., receive instructions to display the file management system diagrams, they specify at least one file from the top of files opened a predetermined time or more and arranged in order of recency of their closed date and time on the basis of history regarding the file operations, they prepare a file management system diagram with the specified file arranged at the top and display it in image planes of the display devices.
