PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrist band automatic fare adjusting machine provided with a wrist band recovering unit, which can securely transport a wrist band and has the high degree of freedom on antenna selection. SOLUTION: A transportation mechanism is provided with a pair of rollers 115 and 116 which are arranged in upper/lower parts close to a wrist band inserting port 19 and a pair of transportation belts 117 and 118 which are arranged in the upper/lower parts for transporting the introduced wrist band 5 by sandwiching it. The mechanism is also provided with an actuator 140 and a sensor 144, which detect that the tag part 5a of the transported wrist band 5 is positioned in a detection position by an antenna 160 based on the dimension change of the shape of the wrist band 5 and temporarily stop the transportation operation of the transportation mechanism. The transportation of the wrist band 5 is confirmed by detecting the upper/low operation of a pulley 128 by a sensor 131.
