PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitor system for preventing a third person who is not authorized to perform access from easily performing access by providing a communication network for connecting a slave station device to a master station device which monitors the slave station device. SOLUTION: A slave station device 22 is connected to a packet communication network 20 by radio. Also, the slave station device 22 incorporates its own identifier and the identifier of a master station device 23, and transmits read meter data such as the flow rate and pressure of gas to the master station device 23 based on those identifiers. The master station device 23 totals the data transmitted from the slave station device 22, and applies the totaled data to a server device 11. A gas user or a gas agent or the like is allowed to perform access through an Internet 10 to the server 11 by using a user computer 12, and to refer to the data such as his or her own gas usage. In this case, it is not possible to perform access from the user computer 12 through the Internet 10 or the server 11 to the master station device 23 or the usage station device 22.
