PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system that can register identification information of a radio master station being a communication object to a radio slave station without the need for a special tool in the case of adopting a wireless configuration between an image forming device and a data communication unit. SOLUTION: A radio slave station 101 wirelessly transmits and ID transmission request signal denoting a transmission request of a master station ID being identification information of its own station to a radio master station 100 through the setting of an ID transmission request mode (master station information transmission request mode). Upon the receipt of the ID transmission request signal from the radio slave station 101 during the setting of an ID transmission mode (master station information transmission mode), the radio master station 100 wirelessly transmits the master station ID to the radio slave station 101. When receiving the master station ID from the radio master station 100 as reply information in response to radio transmission of the ID transmission request signal to the radio master station 100, the radio slave station 101 registers the master station ID.
