PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact IC card system which can correspond to the rate collection of a plurality of IC cards and is used for an SF card processing for collecting the rate without overlapping it by a plurality of IC cards. SOLUTION: The non-contact IC card system is installed in an automatic ticket examination machine 3 and it collects the prescribed rate by deducting data on the collected rate from amount data from the IC card 2 which previously stores amount data. A plurality of the IC cards 2 are polled and the IC card 2 collecting the rate is selected. The prescribed rate is collected from the selected IC card 2 and a confirmation signal is transmitted to the IC card 2 terminating the processing of rate collection. A response signal from the IC card 2 is received in accordance with the response signal and it is detected whether the IC card 2 is a communication possible range or not. The non- contact IC card system does not poll a plurality of the IC cards 2 as long as it receives the response signal from the IC card 2 after the rate is collected. |
