The eye drop dispenser comprises a container with flexible walls (6) with a dropper (4) which fits inside its neck. A membrane (31) is fitted across the nozzle (12) which is sufficiently hydrophilic to allow liquid to pass when the container is squeezed and sufficiently hydrophobic to allow air to enter when it is released. There is a protective seal (7) across the container neck which is fractured when the dropper is moved from the safety position to the position of use.
