PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a half-wavelength dipole antenna that is comparatively small in size with a high FB(Forward lobe/Back lobe) ratio by using a reflecting plate whose height is selected within a range from 1.3 wavelength to 1.7 wavelength. SOLUTION: This invention provides a half-wavelength dipole antenna 1 that has one reflecting plate 2 or more and is installed in the middle of the reflecting plate 2 in its cross direction W and its height direction H while the middle of the antenna 1 corresponds to the middle of the reflecting plate 2. The height of the reflecting plate 2 is selected within a range from 1.3 wavelength to 1.7 wavelength.
