SUCTION MUFFLER OF COMPRESSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction muffler of a closed type compressor which efficiently attenuates a back-flow noise particularly in a low frequency band by improving a structure of a refrigerant discharging pipe and volume of a sub- resonance chamber. SOLUTION: This suction muffler 130 has a main resonance chamber 132 and a sub-resonance chamber 133 partitioned by a partition wall 134. The main resonance chamber 132 communicates with a sub-resonance chamber 133 with each other through a buffle 135 mounted on the partition wall 134. The sub- resonance chamber 133 is connected to a cylinder 140 through a pair of a refrigerant discharging pipes 137 and an extending pipes 138 extendedly placed on ends of the discharging pipes 137, and the extended pipes 138 having a diameter smaller than the refrigerant discharging pipes 137 protrudes deeply into the inside of the sub-resonance chamber 133 to be located so as to overlap a circumference of the buffle 135 protrusively mounted on the inside of the main resonance chamber 132.
